Johnson County Release Feed Status
The official county navigation identifies its public tool as the Johnson County LEC Inmate Search. The form asks for a full last name and at least one letter of the first name. It is a current-custody locator. Neither the county landing page, the live form, nor the sheriff material reviewed for this project offers a distinct 24-hour release tab.
That absence matters. A result proves a reported current booking, subject to normal update limits. No result does not show when custody ended, why it ended, or where the person went. The sheriff describes the roster as updated regularly but gives no exact refresh interval. Johnson County also publishes no stated period for keeping a former detainee visible online.
Check Johnson County Same-Day Releases
Begin with the last known county booking. Keep the full legal name, date of birth when lawfully available, booking number, and case number together. These identifiers reduce false matches and let the jail or clerk find the right event. The official LEC form is the first check, not the final proof.
- Search the LEC form using the full last name and at least one first-name letter. Save the booking and case identifiers from any lawful result.
- Call Johnson County Corrections at 817-556-6000. Ask whether that booking ended and whether the record shows release, transfer, or another movement.
- Ask for the actual departure date and time, the recorded disposition code, and the code legend. A code without its definition can be misleading.
- Review the matching criminal case for a bond order, dismissal, judgment, sentence, credit, or transfer-related filing.
- If another agency received the person, check that system. Use TDCJ for state custody, ODLS for ICE custody, or the BOP locator for federal prison records.
For a named person rather than a same-day window, the broader Johnson County released inmate search path explains how to reconcile all custody systems. An IVSS event can add a useful alert, but an agency movement record remains the stronger documentary source.
Johnson County Release Record Fields
Because Johnson County does not publish a same-day feed, no official online table of 24-hour release fields can be promised. A focused public-information request can seek existing fields that answer the same question. Ask for electronic copies and segregable public portions, meaning nonpublic material may be withheld while public parts are produced.
| Field to request | What it can establish |
|---|---|
| Full name and booking number | Connects the movement to the correct Johnson County booking. |
| Booking date and time | Marks the start of that custody episode. |
| Actual departure date and time | Shows when Johnson County physical custody ended. |
| Release or disposition code | Records the agency's category, which needs its legend. |
| Bond, time-served, or court event | May explain a community release while the case continues or ends. |
| Transfer or destination | May show that custody continued with TDCJ, ICE, another county, or a federal agency. |
The jail movement entry and court case answer different questions. The movement entry establishes physical departure. A bond order, judgment, dismissal, or sentence explains the legal event. Use both when the exact meaning of a Johnson County release matters.
Note: Johnson County has not published how long a departed booking remains visible, so a missing web result is weak negative evidence.
Johnson County Bond Releases Today
Cleburne adds a useful local distinction. The city says an arrest on an outstanding municipal warrant may end through a cash bond, surety bond, or appearance bond. That bond releases the person from custody pending a hearing. It does not dismiss the charge.
Check the Cleburne warrants and bonds information for the official process, then match the event to the municipal or county court record. Cleburne has no onsite jail and sends arrested adults to the Johnson County Law Enforcement Center. The arresting agency and custodial facility can therefore differ, even on the same day.
- Bond release
- Physical custody ends while the court case remains pending.
- Dismissal
- A court disposition that does not itself state the jail-door departure time.
- Time served
- The local confinement part of a sentence has been satisfied.
- Transfer
- Johnson County custody ends, but custody may continue elsewhere.
Johnson County Custody Destinations
A same-day departure must be routed by custodian. Someone sent to the Sanders “Sandy” Estes Unit is in TDCJ state custody. Someone transferred to Prairieland in Alvarado remains in federal immigration custody. A federal criminal transfer may require the federal docket, USMS contact, or later BOP data. Another county can also hold the person on its warrant.
| What the next source shows | Correct Johnson County follow-up |
|---|---|
| Current LEC match | The person is still reported in county custody. |
| LEC name gone, movement says bond | Check the matching court for the bond and later case status. |
| Movement says TDCJ | Use TDCJ current status and Classification and Records. |
| Movement says ICE | Use ICE ODLS and Prairieland or Dallas ERO channels. |
| Past federal release date | Use the BOP result with the federal court record. |
This distinction prevents the most common mistake in a Johnson County same-day check. Leaving one roster is not the same as leaving all custody.
Johnson County Roster Verification Gap
The missing 24-hour archive creates a local gap after a name leaves the current search. Bridge it with three records: the Corrections movement entry, an IVSS event if the agency and event are covered, and the court disposition. Each source has a separate role. The jail records the physical movement. IVSS provides an informational alert. The court records the legal order or result.
Repeating the live search later can show that the person remains absent, but it cannot reconstruct the prior day. Save identifiers early. If documentary proof is needed, send a written request for the booking sheet, movement transaction, actual departure time, release code and legend, and recorded destination. The wider Jail Releases: 72 Hours process focuses on records and system changes across three days.
Note: Do not use a similarly named out-of-state recent-release page; the broad-search result tied to Lamar Police belongs to Arkansas.
Estes Release Hours Differ
TDCJ publishes release logistics that do not apply to the county jail. State releases generally occur from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, and schedules may change. Family pickup should be coordinated with the unit before travel. Eligible releases may receive transport toward an approved residence.
These rules concern TDCJ and the Estes pre-release unit, not Johnson County LEC releases. A state release should be confirmed through TDCJ Classification and Records, release processing, a release certificate, and any parole office assignment. The county jail cannot certify an Estes discharge merely because the prison sits in Johnson County.
The TDCJ release procedures are the official source for those logistics. A scheduled state release date may still change. Confirm with the unit before travel and verify the final state record afterward.
