Johnson-Side Burleson Releases

Bond orders, dismissals, judgments, sentences, and jail-credit entries explain the legal event, though the jail movement provides the physical departure time.
A bond means custody ended while the case remained pending. Time served or sentence completion ends the local confinement component. A transfer only ends Johnson County’s hold. If the movement record names TDCJ, ICE, federal custody, or another county, continue in that official system.

Burleson Transfer Versus Release
Municipal custody can be brief, which makes the distinction between transfer and community release especially important. A person may move from Mansfield to a county jail, or from Johnson County Corrections to TDCJ, ICE, federal custody, or another county. The first roster can then be empty while confinement continues elsewhere.
Build a two-part record. The originating facility’s movement proves when its custody ended and should identify the category or destination if recorded. Burleson Transfer to ICE
A Johnson-side booking can end in a transfer to Prairieland Detention Facility, the ICE site in Alvarado. The person has then left Johnson County jail custody but may remain detained inside Johnson County. Confirm the county departure and the ICE outcome separately. An immigration detainer is a notice or request and does not itself prove ICE pickup.
When ICE accepts custody, use the Online Detainee Locator System. Search by A-number and country of birth when possible, or by exact name, country of birth, and date of birth. ODLS covers current detention and a limited recent-release period. A no-match may reflect age restrictions, lag, mismatched data, transfer, or an older event.
ICE may later release the person under conditions, move the person to another facility, or carry out removal. None should be described merely as a Burleson release. The county jail movement and the later federal event belong on separate lines in the timeline.
Estes Is Not Municipal Custody
Sanders “Sandy” Estes Unit in Venus is a TDCJ state prison and official pre-release facility. It is not an alternate Burleson or Mansfield city jail. If a county or municipal booking transfers to TDCJ, the later state release is processed through TDCJ Classification and Records, the Board of Pardons and Paroles, and Parole Division.
The TDCJ current-inmate search can help after a state transfer, but it is limited to people currently incarcerated in TDCJ and carries working-day lag. A projected date or favorable parole vote does not prove actual release. After departure, seek the release certificate, Classification and Records response, or supervision assignment. That separate state route prevents a city arrest record from being mistaken for the final custody record.
Verify the Burleson Court
Court jurisdiction is a second routing key. A police report identifies the event, a jail record proves custody movement, and a court file explains the charge and legal outcome. None replaces the others. When a person posts bond, the bond permits release pending proceedings but does not dismiss the matter. A later dismissal may end the charge but may not state the jail-door time.
Match full name with booking number, case number, and date of birth when lawfully available. Use the court named on the citation or filing rather than selecting a clerk solely from the city name.
